Day 8 - Ngawal - Braga (3360m/11,034ft) November 6, 2001

Today we were afforded great views of Annapurna III (7555m/ 24,787ft)

Not far out of Ngawal we took a tour of a large monastery/school. After leaving generous donations we took a group photo on the grounds

Just past the monastery I seized the opportunity to attempt a cheesy duplication of the Jamie McGuiness cover photo of the Bryn Thomas guidebook "Trekking in the Annapurna Region"

On the move towards Braga

There were rock formations you would expect to see in the Italian Dolomites along the way

Camp at Braga, with the 600 year old gompa above the town

Braga was a good choice, less crowded than bustling Manang 15 minutes up the trail (the standard Lonely Planet stop)
