Saying goodbye
to Frank and Kelly as their trip ended here. This
day they would make the long full day walk to Jomson to catch
a flight to Pokhara the following morning
And Frank reminded
us all to remember those fallen in war at 11:00 on this Rememberance

.............................................
Before heading
down the trail to Kagbeni we first made a short trip to the walled
temples of Muktinath, a popular pilgrimage for Buddhists
and Hindus alike. It is the 2nd holiest Hindu site in Nepal (Pashnupatinath
in Kathmandu being the most sacred). Here we observed faithful Hindus
bathing in ice cold waters spewing out of 108 wall carvings of Hindu
gods.

the Jhong Khola (river) at the restricted part of Mustang.
An expensive permit running $700 U.S. for 10 days and
a organized group staffed by Nepalis is required to enter the rugged,
forbidden kingdom of Mustang...Next time!

For the next
3 days as we trek down the valley we'll be buffeted by galeforce
