November
2, 2006: Day 5
- Río Reventazón - Turrialba
|

Waiting
to be picked up at our hotel in Turrialba to
our white water rafting trip on the Reventazón
river. Unfortunately I have no pictures of our day of
rafting since bringing anything that could be dunked
in water onboard the raft was not advisable. We had
a blast on the Río Reventazón going
through class 3 rapids. A lot of fun and no one fell
out.

After
the rafting we were transported to a hilltop hotel overlooking
the town of Turrialba.

This
hotel was called the Cerro Alto Lodge. The staff
were very friendly. The left quite an impression on
me, particularly on my feet and the colour blue.

of the town of Turrialba below in the distance. Turrialba
is known for manufacturing baseball bats for Major League
Baseball. Barry Bonds hit his 73rd home run using a
bat made in this region.
