November
2 - Day 2 - El Chalten
to Laguna Capri
|
|

A
very pleasant inn that Ashok, Meera, Raul, Victoria
and myself stayed in. It's run by a very pleasant
young couple who were due to have their first baby
at the end of November. We wish them very well! The
name of their inn, Nothofaugs, is the name
of a common type of tree in the region.

Quick
stop at the Camino Abierto office to pick up our lunches
before starting on the trail to our campsite at Laguna
Capri
|
|

Scenic
break early along the trail
|
|

Too
bad the trails weren't mostly like this, dry and well
trodden. Soon we would be jumping around in muddy
patches.

|

Unlike
my previous treks in Nepal and Peru, no porters or
donkeys or Yaks on this trip...yes, that's my backpack
I'm carrying all by myself. We took a break for lunch
at this scenic spot.

|

A
short detour took us to this scenic spot.
