Day 10 - Even more Las Torres

Meera toughing it all the way back down

Getting hungry at this point, maybe it was that beer that Raul bought me at the hostel in the middle of the valley

Raul finds the elusive Patagonian Puma

Hosteria Las Torres. A really nice place but a single room costs around $150

As we were driving out of the Hosteria sitting on the road was a PUMA! It darted across and into the bushes. Of course I was playing with my camera in the van when everyone else shouted PUMA!! I did see a glimpse of its ass in the bushes before it disappeared. Our drive Jorge said in all his years of driving in the park it was his first ever Puma sighting!

A really, really tight fit. We had to cross this bridge in the morning too

Sunset on Paine

We couldn't have paid for this view. What a day, clear blue skies the entire day and no wind!

We bumped into a young Canadian/Chilean man who works in the park during our trek and he said this day was the best day, weather-wise in the park in a month!

Look at the suprise that our cook Diego had waiting for me upon our return!! Tall boy beer cans, cheese, salami and olive hors d'oeurves. Just like 2 years ago on the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal after we crossed the Thorung pass. I don't intentionall plan my vacations to coincide with my birthday!
