Here
on this rock altar we placed a stone on a pile of coca leaves that
we each had been carrying throughout the trek. This ceremony signified
the end of a safe and successful journey.

The
Watchman's Hut over looking the site. We had a brief visit and
then we boarded a bus which took us to our hotel in Aguas Calientes.
The following morning we would return to Machu Picchu, bright and
early for our guided tour of the complex

Later
that night Michael, Stuart and I enjoyed some Cusquena beers at
the hot spring in Aguas Calientes.

Dinner
in a local restaurant serving Peruvian fare. We were serenaded during
dinner by a Peruvian band playing pan flute music of course including
our favourite song - El Condor Pasa
