It takes about 45mins to ascend Huayna Picchu. The path up
is very steep. Steps and ropes assist the hike up the mountain.
This is not a path to follow for those with vertigo and I wouldn't
recommend attempting this in rain or shortly after. You must sign
in and out when climbing Huayna Picchu.

The
very steep steps down from the top of Huayna Picchu. We had to motor
as a light rain had started and we had to catch a bus back to Aguas
Calientes for a great lunch buffet
