This morning would be particularly challenging as we left our camp at Huayllabamba to begin the 1200m ascent over the "Dead Woman's Pass". Along the way we would pass through a cloud forest.

In the cloud forest with Erika, Unka trees abound.

More than 1/2 way to the pass is an area called Llulluchapampa. A natural rest area with a terrific view of the valley below
